Make-Up on Girls

Moms what do you think is an appropriate age for girls to wear make-up? I ask this question because when I went to pick my daughter up from school, two 3rd graders were wearing tinted lip gloss. If you are into make-up then you know that lip glosses come in tints as dark as a lipstick. Personally I think any age below 12 is too young for glosses, lipsticks, whatever. Time to time I will allow my little one to wear a clear gloss, but anything else is over doing it. What do you moms think?

I think I have mixed feelings about this one. My daughter is 7, and not a gloss wearer, although she likes to play with it from time to time if she is near when I am putting on make-up or lip gloss. She has her own personal Carmex to keep her lips moisturized. If the gloss was as dark as a lipstick, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my daughter wear it, but I don't have a problem with a gloss that is a tint, a light light light tint, lol.

I agree with you, even at 12 there should also be a limit...the makeup should be neutral and in moderation.
