Food For Thought- Changes

Have you ever wanted to change for the better?

I've been doing some self reflecting and there are a couple of things I would like to change about myself personally. I am not speaking physically, but more on a personal level.  For example, have you wanted to spend more time with a particular friend, listen more, speak more, be more patient, be more attentive, ect. Has anyone successfully made a change in there life that made them feel a little better?

At one point I decided to listen more, I am not a very talkative person to begin with but I just wanted to spend some time reflecting. I even did a few blog posts about it. I would say that I am still a working progress though. During this process, I realized that there were moments in conversations that I did not need to reply right away and I did. I also noticed that when I should not have responded to certain comments, I did. While been quite, I noticed the mistakes I would have been making. Hope I am making sense.

One thing that I've changed about myself is my pattern of taking everything personally. I swear I had a complex or something. I perceived everything that happened around me to somehow be some kind of plot against me. I realized what I was doing, that it was making me sad and miserable, and over time I reprogrammed my thinking. I feel so free now. Of course, I have my moments! But I catch myself and keep it moving. :) Great post to remind us to acknowledge the things we've worked on in our lives and the things we still want to develop.
